The Wine Lodge is a luxury Retreat and fully self catering with access to a pool and hot tub. The property is set within 20 acres of rolling countryside and has been beautifully designed inside to create a boutique-style interior.
We are situated in a truly outstanding area of natural beauty, along the South West coast of Devon, surrounded by the rolling hills of Haldon Forest and only a short mile from the stunning Exe estuary.
There are an endless number of activities on offer, no day will be the same but the question is what will your day be?

Powderham Castle
Let the adventure begin...
Tumble out of the ever so sumptuous super-king size bed,
put on your Wellies and take a walk along the nearby Exe Estuary Cycle Trail. The scenery is breathtaking and the Trail takes you past the beautiful Estate of Powderham Castle
with its Deer Park.
Haldon Forest
A great place for mountain biking or a morning walk.
Bring your Bike and head up to the Forest Trails at Mamhead on the Ridge above the Vineyard with its stunning views. When you’ve exhausted those Trails, take yourself across to Haldon Forest for even more action. An early morning walk amongst the pine trees as the mists roll in is something for the soul.
Dartmoor
Endless stretches of rugged beauty.
Heading to Dartmoor for a long walk is an absolute must on your visit, exploring the Tors, Reservoirs and other area of outstanding natural beauty cannot be ignored but even more vital is that the adventure ends in one of the many famous proper Devonshire pubs dotted around the moor.
Exe Estuary
Enjoy life on the water.
Bring your wet suit and enjoy life on the Exe Estuary. We are very close to the local Sailing Club giving you access straight onto the Exe by Sailing Boat, Kayak, Paddle Board etc... (we have paddle boards available for hire)
It’s an excellent location for Windsurfing and Kite Surfing. Or perhaps relax for evening meal out in the River Exe Cafe and watch the sun go down over the water.
