So what’s all the excitement about this NEW Red Wine that’s arrived here just in time for curling up and getting cosy with here around the LOG FireS!
Well…..The Motley Cru have been to Sonoma Wine County in California a couple of times and each time we’ve been lucky enough to stay a beautiful Wine Retreat in Healdsburg @montagehealdsburg and as huge fans of big, bold Red Wine, Sonoma definitely make some of the best full bodied Red Wines we’ve tasted.
We were so excited to discover ‘ANGELS + COWBOYS’ at a Winery in Sonoma, actually in the beautiful town of Healdsburg, and so every time we open a bottle it transports us back to happy, magical memories of visiting some of the most stunning Vineyards we have ever been to and now we are able to stock this Wine here in The Motley Cru Bar and share it with you.
Sonoma is right next door to the much smaller but more famous Napa Valley, but we love the more rugged, Mountainous landscape and deep River Valleys of Sonoma.
This particular Red is so richly concentrated, it’s juicy and dense with flavours of ripe dark Cherry, Raspberry & Fig, warm spice and melted Dark Chocolate. We absolutely LOVE it.
‘ANGELS + COWBOYS’ is a blend of different grapes which gives it a real punch. It’s made with grapes from very old Zinfandel Vines combined with Petite Sirah grapes along with Syrah and also Grenache, all of which have been aged individually in French Oak Barrels (not American Oak).
